Crea Centers Project Is Implemented In 5 Countries At The Same Time
Under the leadership of Çekmeköy Municipality, within the scope of the European Union’s “Cross-Border Cooperation in the Black Sea Basin 2014-2020 Program”, which aims at regional development and development in the Black Sea, the Crea Centers Project is being implemented in 5 countries at the same time.
The project aims to establish and manage modern joint workspaces where individuals and businesses from different disciplines operating in the field of cultural and creative industries in the Black Sea Basin can work together, network and reach potential customers / investors.
The total budget of the project, the implementation process of which started on December 25, 2020, is approximately 1.5 million Euros. In the project that will last 24 months, Çekmeköy Municipality takes part as the leading partner, while the Association of Business Support Center from Ukraine, Constanta Municipality from Romania, Kavala Municipality from Greece, Byala Municipality from Bulgaria are the other partners in the project.
Meeting Point For Creative Industries
With the Crea Centers Project, it is aimed to develop the creative industries in the Black Sea Region in relation to the high potential of the region and to make significant contributions in terms of income and employment. In order for entrepreneurs operating in the field of creative industries to prefer the region and to ensure the continuity of their use, it is necessary to increase the infrastructure opportunities and the continuity of services. With the contribution of all partner institutions involved in the project, activities will be held within the creativity centers to be established in 5 countries. In this way, cooperation, synergy and a strong network will be created between creative individuals and businesses. Beneficiaries will be able to use areas such as open offices, conference rooms, prototyping workshops, meeting rooms, as well as access to capacity building, collaboration and networking support and consultancy services. In addition, the opportunity to participate in many mass innovation and creativity activities will be provided.
The kick-off meeting, the first activity of the project, was held on an online platform, hosted by Çekmeköy. Project managers and representatives of each country attended the meeting. The partners got to know each other better with the presentations and discussions made during the meeting. By establishing joint working groups, the first 6-month activity period was planned in detail and the issues of carrying out the projects in accordance with the National & European Union legislation were discussed.
