SUMMARY:Live Experimental Artistic Serigraphy Workshop
DESCRIPTION:During this experiential workshop, participants of all ages, without any required skills or knowledge, even people with disabilities, will discover the ancient method of printing and reproduction of repetitive patterns, which has remained almost unchanged to this day, with the guidance and instructions of the expert.\n \nUsing a hand-held, portable, 0 energy footprint machine, specially designed and\nbuilt for the Crea Center & CREA WORKSHOPS project,  along with appropriate tools and professional paints, will water imprint on the material to be selected (t-shirt/rural bag, cardboard) to the visual of the proposed designs from the “boxes”; one of which will be the CREA logo.\n \nThe practice of the screen-printing technique becomes a personal experience, and the final result of the print is an intellectual creation which is unique, giving pleasure, knowledge and enjoyment to the participants while they will have the opportunity to acquire their commemorative t-shirt the project bag.\n \n\nThe workshop will begin with an introduction to this printing technique, its characteristics, its creative outputs, and a detailed illustration of all the printing process steps. After learning to recognize and use the tools, such as the frame and the squeegee and inks, participants will realize a 1-colour printing of images inspired by Greek history & culture.\nThe practising of the technique of screen printing becomes a personal experience, and the result of printing is an intellectual creation, which is unique, giving pleasure, knowledge, and the enjoyment of the creation to the participants while they will have the opportunity to obtain their souvenir t-shirt or bag of the CREA program.\n\n \n \nTHOMI D. ANGELOU\nstudied Graphic Design, Advertising &\nVisual Arts.\nAlthough the description that best characterizes her is “visual\nartist” as she does not stop creating in various ways.\nShe maintains her own studio & SHOWROOM of\ngraphics+design+crafts since 1993 in the she loves, Kavala.\nThroughout her career she has acquired many distinctions for\nthe successful design of major cultural -and not only- events\nsuch as Cosmopolis, Philippi Festival, Eleftheria, Days of Speech\n& Art, conferences, experiential seminars, special events,\nthematic exhibitions, theatrical and musical performances and\nmore, in collaboration with MUNICIPALITIES, REGIONS,\nEDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, METROPOLITANS etc..\nShe has attended many training seminars on art, culture,\ntheater, expression-movement, dance (contemporary-\ntraditional), wine tasting, cultural tourism, education, people\nwith disabilities, etc., in Greece and abroad, as a participant\nbut also as a lecturer.\nShe is the inspiration behind “artattack” and its president of 10\nyears. artattack is the art group that uses art as its weapon,\nwith a multitude of events and artistic interventions with\nintent and purpose.\nActive member of the Hellenic Guides Association, Doctors of\nthe World, and other voluntary, humanitarian organizations\nand cultural associations, organizing programs and actions of\ninterest.\n \n \n
