Live Experimental Artistic Serigraphy Workshop

During this experiential workshop, participants of all ages, without any required skills or knowledge, even people with disabilities, will discover the ancient method of printing and reproduction of repetitive patterns, which has remained almost unchanged to this day, with the guidance and instructions of the expert.

 

Using a hand-held, portable, 0 energy footprint machine, specially designed and

built for the Crea Center & CREA WORKSHOPS project,  along with appropriate tools and professional paints, will water imprint on the material to be selected (t-shirt/rural bag, cardboard) to the visual of the proposed designs from the “boxes”; one of which will be the CREA logo.

 

The practice of the screen-printing technique becomes a personal experience, and the final result of the print is an intellectual creation which is unique, giving pleasure, knowledge and enjoyment to the participants while they will have the opportunity to acquire their commemorative t-shirt the project bag.

 

  • The workshop will begin with an introduction to this printing technique, its characteristics, its creative outputs, and a detailed illustration of all the printing process steps. After learning to recognize and use the tools, such as the frame and the squeegee and inks, participants will realize a 1-colour printing of images inspired by Greek history & culture.
  • The practising of the technique of screen printing becomes a personal experience, and the result of printing is an intellectual creation, which is unique, giving pleasure, knowledge, and the enjoyment of the creation to the participants while they will have the opportunity to obtain their souvenir t-shirt or bag of the CREA program.

 

 

THOMI D. ANGELOU

studied Graphic Design, Advertising &
Visual Arts.
Although the description that best characterizes her is “visual
artist” as she does not stop creating in various ways.
She maintains her own studio & SHOWROOM of
graphics+design+crafts since 1993 in the she loves, Kavala.
Throughout her career she has acquired many distinctions for
the successful design of major cultural -and not only- events
such as Cosmopolis, Philippi Festival, Eleftheria, Days of Speech
& Art, conferences, experiential seminars, special events,
thematic exhibitions, theatrical and musical performances and
more, in collaboration with MUNICIPALITIES, REGIONS,
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, METROPOLITANS etc..
She has attended many training seminars on art, culture,
theater, expression-movement, dance (contemporary-
traditional), wine tasting, cultural tourism, education, people
with disabilities, etc., in Greece and abroad, as a participant
but also as a lecturer.
She is the inspiration behind “artattack” and its president of 10
years. artattack is the art group that uses art as its weapon,
with a multitude of events and artistic interventions with
intent and purpose.
Active member of the Hellenic Guides Association, Doctors of
the World, and other voluntary, humanitarian organizations
and cultural associations, organizing programs and actions of
interest.
