This painting performance is a ritual for the artist, requiring meticulous preparation, such as
reading theological and philosophical texts and listening to world music and traditional
instruments.
Through solitary journeys in the landscape, the artist searches for light. At the same time, he
studies the symbolism of colours to convey moods and emotions. Thus, orange hues
represent pure creativity; greens express love and peace; blues communicate; golden
yellows mean divinity.
Therefore, colours and painting become an act of purification for the artist and the
audience, leading to freedom, love, and hope.

Artist statement and bio.

“My art is the confession of my soul”  Aristotelis Deligiannidis.

My works are nothing else but  “traces” of my own “personal truth”.

The artist, on a daily basis, actively engages in many different actions-routines-exercises in order to physically, emotionally and mentally prepare himself to create his paintings. His work is his own  nonverbal  reaction to everything that is happening around him.  The energies that are being released are transformed into spontaneous movements on the canvas.

Born in 1984 in Kavala, Greece, where he lives and works. Studied Mathematics at the University of Ioannina, Greece (2001-2004).

Aristotelis Deligiannidis has participated in biennales and large-scale exhibitions in Greece and abroad. He creates works on paper with markers and felt-tip pens, painting installations, artists books, and multiples. His work “Layers” is on permanent display in the Blue Moon area of Lido, Venice since 2010. In 2017 in the Global Art Awards in Dubai his was among the four finalists (among 850 participants) in the painting category.
